Can Do Recycling Limited was formed in December 2003 and started operation in Glasgow in January 2004. Over the past four years the Company has grown, increasing turnover, volumes and the range of materials recycled. The Company out grew its original premises and moved to its current recycling centre it June 2006.

In 2006 the Company recycled over 120 million cans and became Scotland largest independent post–consumer can recycling company for both Aluminium and Steel cans. It also is one of the largest post consumer recycling companies in the UK.

 

Working closely with Novelis and Corus the companies collects and pre-processes cans at its recycling centre in Glasgow to meet the tight standards required by the reprocesses.

 

The Company collect direct from over 500 organisations (Companies, Schools, Churches, and Voluntary Organisations) in the West of Scotland. It also provides a pre-processing service to 8 Councils and 3 Waste Management Companies.

In late 2006 the Company launched recycling services for Small Businesses, making it easy for Business to Recycle, Paper, Card, Plastic and Cans. Over 100 businesses have already signed up for the services and the number continues to grow.


In 2007 the company with the support of WRAP intend to extend and grow this service.
