Do I need to clean the cans before recycling?
Food cans or tins should be washed before placing them in your recycling bag.

Can I recycle aluminum and steel cans and tins together?

Yes.


PAPER

Can all types of paper be recycled?
Most paper can be recycled. The exceptions are plastic coated/laminated paper and soiled paper towels. Otherwise, if you can tear it easily, we can recycle it. This includes coloured paper with crayon or paint on it.
Can I recycle envelopes with plastic windows?
Yes. The glue and plastic windows on envelopes are removed during the recycling process. Please note that padded envelopes cannot be recycled. It is best to remove paperclips and elastic bands before putting paper in the recycling bin, where possible. Staples will be removed in the recycling process.
How will my confidential paper be handled?
We will provide you with bags marked confidential and tags to secure the bags. Confidential paper placed in these bags will be securely shredded and then recycled.


PLASTICS

What types of plastic bottles can be recycled?
We can recycle drinks bottles, milk containers and any other plastic container.

Do I need to clean the plastic bottles and remove tops?
Yes, please pour out any fluids, remove tops, rinse and squash the bottles before placing them in the recycling bag.

Can I recycle other types of plastics?

Yes. Plastic wrapping or films can also be recycled. Please place these materials in a separate clear plastic bag.


 

CARDBOARD

How do I bundle my cardboard and how big is a bundle?

Cardboard should be flattened or baled and tied with string or tape into bundles. You can also pack the flattened cardboard into a box for easy handling. Bundles should weigh no more than 10kgs so that one person can lift a bundle chest high without difficulty.


Can I recycle envelopes with plastic windows?

COLLECTION

How can my business collect and store materials for recycling?
We supply white polypropylene reusable bags for white office paper and mixed paper; and clear plastic bags for cans, plastic bottles, plastic film or wrapping. Cardboard can be put into bundles for collection.
The recycling bags are provided free of charge to participating companies. We can also provide recycling accessories such as office recycling boxes for paper, plastics and cans, desk top trays for paper and cages to store full bags or cardboard bundles (charges apply).

What is the frequency of collection for recyclable materials?
The service is flexible to meet your needs. We can provide daily, weekly or monthly collections.
We also offer a one-off service to collect furniture, phones, electronic equipment and other office materials.

Do you have a minimum or maximum uplift quantity?
No. We will provide a service to meet your business' requirements.

Is there a weight limit for each bag of recyclable material?

Yes. Each bag should weigh no more than 10kgs and should be a manageable size for one person to lift to chest height without difficulty.
